Inn of the Mountain Gods
Sportsbook Review
Inn of the Mountain Gods is unique among New Mexico sportsbooks: a William Hill-branded book set in a luxury mountain resort on the Mescalero Apache Reservation. Opened in July 2019, it serves bettors in southern NM, El Paso, and Texas with William Hill’s European-style sportsbook offering.
Quick Facts
Inside the William Hill Race & Sports Book
Inn of the Mountain Gods sits at 7,200 feet on the Mescalero Apache Reservation, and it's the most distinctive of New Mexico's five tribal sportsbooks. The Mescalero Apache Tribe partnered with William Hill in July 2019 — making this the only NM book powered by William Hill's European-style sportsbook product, complete with pari-mutuel horse racing handled at the same counter.
Where Albuquerque-area books are about volume and convenience, Inn of the Mountain Gods is about destination. The 273-room hotel, an on-site championship golf course, and Ski Apache (winter only) turn a betting trip into a multi-day mountain getaway. It's also the closest legal NM book for El Paso, Texas residents — about a two-hour drive — and the only realistic option for southern New Mexico bettors who don't want to make the run up I-25 to Albuquerque.
On the betting side, expect a William Hill-style market: solid coverage of NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football and basketball, UFC/MMA, soccer, golf, and tennis, plus the unique addition of pari-mutuel horse racing on-site. Prop depth runs behind Isleta's BetMGM book, and same-game parlays are not advertised the same way, but the book runs reliably and the lounge atmosphere — high ceilings, mountain views — is hard to beat anywhere in the state.
